Ask the Health Educator: Can I Be Pregnant?

Question from March 10, 2015

Seen my period on 02/10/2015 haven’t came yet and I’m not getting any menstrual signs can I be pregnant

Answer:

Since today is March 10, your period will probably be starting soon. If you have been having sex, especially sex without a condom and you are not on a method of birth control, it is possible you could be pregnant. The only way to know for sure would be to take a pregnancy test. If you are on a method of birth control such as the shot or the Implant, missed or skipped periods are a common and normal side effect. If you are not on birth control and if your period does not start within the next week, come to Teen Matters for a pregnancy test.
