Question from February 2, 2015

Ive been reading about Nexolanon and the side effects listed are worryying me. It says that it could have to be surgically removed or cause an infection … or even come out by itself. How can i be sure this is safe?

Answer:

Anytime a person uses a new medication or device of any kind, there is always some risk. The side effects that you may have read about are extremely rare. We have highly trained Nurse Practitioners who insert the Nexplanons, so the chances of you having any complications are very small. If you feel uncomfortable using the Nexplanon, we have many other birth control options that may be a better fit for you. Feel free to call, text or stop by anytime if you have more questions and would like to speak with a nurse or Health Educator directly.
